Advanced Multi-Active Renewal Serum

A professional-use serum formulated with 1% retinol, 2% salicylic acid, 2% lactic acid and 1% 4-butylresorcinol. This concentrated combination targets the visible signs of uneven tone and texture while supporting a smoother, clearer-looking complexion.

Retinol supports visible skin renewal and helps improve the appearance of fine lines, dullness and uneven texture. Salicylic acid exfoliates and helps loosen surface buildup associated with congestion. Lactic acid exfoliates the skin’s surface to promote a smoother, more radiant appearance. 4-butylresorcinol helps target the look of dark spots and discoloration through its effect on pathways involved in melanin production. 

Designed for experienced clients whose skin is appropriate for a multi-active routine, RETINOL RX can be incorporated into a professional plan for concerns such as dullness, rough texture, visible congestion, post-blemish marks, uneven-looking tone and the appearance of fine lines. Because it combines a retinoid with both an AHA and a BHA, this is an advanced-use formula. Consistent, measured use is key; applying more often does not mean better results.

How to use

Use in the evening on clean, completely dry skin. Apply a thin, even layer to the treatment area, avoiding the eyes, corners of the nose and mouth, and any irritated or compromised skin. Follow with moisturizer.

Begin once weekly for two weeks. If the skin remains comfortable, increase to twice weekly on nonconsecutive evenings. Maintain that frequency unless a qualified skincare professional recommends a change based on the client’s tolerance and treatment plan. Do not increase use to accelerate results.

On RETINOL RX evenings, do not layer with other retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs or peel products. Do not apply immediately after waxing, microneedling, laser treatments or a professional peel; wait until the skin has fully recovered and follow the treating professional’s protocol.

If persistent burning, redness, peeling or sensitivity develops, discontinue use until the skin has recovered and reassess the routine. Avoid use on skin that is already irritated or compromised.

Sun protection: Use sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week after stopping.
