Pigment Peel X/ VitaG Peel Protocol


Gel based peels allow more control over depth and saturation of peel. The magic behind both of these peels is you get to choose how far you wanna take it. The scary part is, they are not peels that you can take your eye off of , not even for a second .



Contraindications• Laser resurfacing within last 6 months• Accutane within one year• Hypersensitivity• Dry, dehydrated skin• Pregnancy or nursing• Herpetic breakout (cold sore)• Open wounds or suspicious lesions• Higher concentrations not recommended for skin types V and VI

Possible complications• Irritation• Pigmentary changes can occur• Possibility of scarring (rare) Sensitivity, Medical conditions, and medications• Review client medical history.• Perform cutaneous examination.• Must be off accutane for 6 months.• Must be off topical vitamin A for 3 days.• If predisposed to cold sores, start regimen of Zovirax or valtrex prior to and during the peel.• Perform a patch test to check tolerance• If taking medications that makes skin photosensitive, you may have problems with PIH.• Check for uncontrolled medical conditions such as diabetes.





Skin Preparation is a vital step in order to maximize the efficiency of a chemical peel. The amount of preparation is dependent on skin type and condition. Preparation can impact penetration of the peeling agent and the overall efficiency of the peel. Preparation can also decrease the potential to develop post peel complications. It is ideal for you to have your clients skin prepped 2-4 weeks before peel with the pigment peel kits

Application 

 

Cleanse face 

degrease skin with Purely Primed  

Choose depth of peel


Deep 1 ml 3-5 mins

Medium .5 ml 2-3 mins

Micro .25 ml


2. Shake the bottle for a few seconds

3. Using a syringe, draw up chosen amount of  the  product for the treatment

  • 4. Apply peel solution in a pre-determined  areas  rubbing in solution until it is completely absorbed. starting at forehead, moving around to the temples, cheeks, chin, and
  • ****if your opting for deep or medium be sure to observe level of frosting or erythema
    wipe down with cool water (peels are self neutralizing)
  • Apply renew or barrier gel
  • After stinging subsides. Apply thin layer of moisturizer and spf of your choice

Post Peel Care  • Use pigment peel kits and light layer of moisturizer 2 x daily.  Medium depth peels can be performed in 4-6 week intervals.
 **broad spectrum sunscreen should be reapplied every 2-3 hours **
