Four-Active Corrective Serum

BPO RX is a professional-use, multi-active serum formulated with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, 5% azelaic acid, 1% salicylic acid and 2% glycolic acid. It brings together four actives selected to address the look of blemish-prone, visibly congested skin while helping refine uneven texture and the appearance of post-blemish marks.

Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are the formula’s blemish-focused actives. Azelaic acid complements them by targeting the appearance of uneven tone, while glycolic acid exfoliates the skin’s surface to help improve the look of roughness and dullness. Together, these ingredients create a focused multi-active approach for a clearer-looking, smoother-looking complexion.

How to use

Use in the evening on clean, dry skin.

1. For the first three days, perform a sensitivity test: Apply a small amount to one or two small areas once daily. If discomfort occurs, discontinue use.
2. If the test area remains comfortable, apply a thin, even layer over the intended treatment area every other evening for two weeks. Avoid the eyes, lips, corners of the nose, and irritated or compromised skin.
3. If the skin continues to tolerate the serum, increase to once nightly. Do not use more often unless the final product directions specifically allow it.
4. Follow with moisturizer. In the morning, use sunscreen and limit sun exposure. Glycolic acid is an AHA; FDA guidance recommends sun protection while using an AHA product and for one week after stopping it. 

Do not use on the same evening as another benzoyl peroxide product, salicylic acid product, retinoid, exfoliating acid, scrub or peel. If persistent irritation, severe redness, swelling or burning occurs, stop using the serum. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair and dyed fabrics, so allow the product to dry before contact with towels, clothing or bedding.

Professional-use note: Assess the client’s skin condition, sensitivity and current routine before use. Do not apply to irritated or compromised skin.
